Author requirements

To ensure a great event for all in attendance, the following are our author requirements:

  • Published Book(s)

    • Indie Published

    • Hybrid Published

    • Traditionally Published

  • Proven setup displays that are inviting and creative

    • Photographs and/or videos

    • Social links

    • A creative display that captures your genre well

  • Ohio Vendors License to sell

    • Author is responsible for sales tax collected

    • PDF showing vendor’s license information is required

    • We will confirm via vendor's license number and name is registered on the State of Ohio website

    • You will want to have a copy of the PDF with you at the event in the event someone asks to see it

  • Day of general liability insurance coverage

    • Can get a day of only policy

    • Certificate of Insurance is required

  • Family-friendly display

    • This is an event for all ages, therefore all displays must be family-friendly

    • No explicit material permitted on display

      • Explicit imagery

      • Costumes

      • Graphic language

      • Promotional materials

    • All ratings must be on display during the event

      • Based on the movie rating system

      • If your book(s) have a spice level, we encourage you also display the rating on a scale of 1 (lowest) - 5 (highest)

  • A one-day storytellers’ market designed to spotlight local authors and bookish vendors. It is a curated, family-friendly event focused on connecting storytellers with readers while fostering community, creativity, and professional growth.

  • Authors who are published as any of the following: Indie, Hybrid, or Traditionally.

  • We accept applications from a wide range of genres and will group you by genre.

    Please note: This is a family-friendly event Explicit or X-rated material is not permitted to be openly displayed.

  • Author registration opens on February 27, 2026. Last call will be July 10, 2026 with registration closing on July 17, 2026.

    Please note: Dates are subject to change without notice when capacity is reached. There will be a wait list created for those who didn’t make it in.

  • We aim to curate a balanced and diverse market. Each application is thoroughly reviewed to reach these perimeters:

    • Maintain genre diversity

    • Prevent excessive duplication within one genre

    • Ensure alignment with our boundaries and standards

    • Proven setup displays

    • Ohio Vendors License to sell

    • Day of general liability insurance coverage

  • While not required, promotion is strongly encouraged. The more we all can work together as a united community, the larger our reach will be collectively.

    Please note: There will be graphics available for your use.

  • It is state law to have an Ohio Vendor’s License for the sale of goods. Each author and merchant is responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax collected. This will be monitored and proof of license is required. If you do not have yours yet, we recommend obtaining a transient vendor license which can be used at events throughout the state.

  • Full details are provided in your author agreement. This helps protect you, your products, and your guests. You will need to have a minimum of $1Million and include Lilian Grace Designs, LLC on your certificate of insurance for the day of the event only. A copy of this certificate is required to be permitted on site.

  • Setup is the day of the event. Authors will be permitted inside the venue at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Booths must be fully open by 10:15 am in preparation for the doors to open to the public at 10:30 am.

    Breakdown is the day of the event immediately following the close of the event at 4:30 pm. All authors must be off the premises by 6:30 pm at the latest.

    No early breakdown is permitted for the safety of our guests. If you are found to be breaking down early, you will not be permitted at any future events. To be respectful of all in attendance, your cooperation is appreciated.

    Detailed instructions will be emailed two weeks prior to the event.

  • If we cancel the event: A full refund will be given.

    If you cancel: No refunds for booth fees will be paid unless there are special circumstances. This is up to our discretion.

    This event is rain or shine. As an author, you will be indoors.

  • Attendance projections will be updated as the event approaches. As a growing storytellers’ market, we are actively marketing throughout Ohio and surrounding areas to attract readers, families, and book lovers. We have no control over how many attends, but we will do our due diligence to help drive traffic.

  • While we do not police the content being sold, authors are responsible for ensuring that visible displays, signage, and promotional materials are appropriate for a general audience.

    Explicit covers or graphic promotional materials may not be openly displayed. Book ratings must be on display at all times.

    Please note: Book ratings follow the traditional movie rating scale.

  • Each author booth includes a dedicated space for you to set up your books and companion products. Each author will be provided one 6’ table and two chairs. Authors are responsible for their own display items, including tablecloths which are required.

    Additionally, you will be listed on the authors list, promoted on our social media, and receive access to our Facebook Group.

    Please note: Booth size varies and is determined at acceptance based on your selection at sign up.

  • Fees vary by booth type and/or location. You will be able to choose from our list of available spaces on the sign up form.

  • No. Booth sharing is not available at this location.

  • Each booth needs to match the genre in which it is assigned. We want our guests to feel as if they have walked right up into your story when they approach your space. How you achieve this is at your discretion. We recommend you match your author branding or your book. One accepted as an author, you’ll have access to a list of resources which includes ideas, Pinterest boards, and suggestions.

  • Each space holds a different amount. We have a max capacity of 30 in the atrium and 70 in the ballroom. There will be no more than 100 combined in attendance inside of the building. There is room for 4 food trucks outside.

  • We promote the event through:

    • Social media campaigns

    • Paid ads (as budget allows)

    • Email marketing

    • Local partnerships

    • Community outreach

    • Author/merchant spotlights

    Please note: We also encourage authors & merchants to promote their participation to maximize reach.

  • We are currently working on an answer for this. Electricity isn’t available for all booth spaces. We are unsure if there is available wifi access at the venue. TBD

  • No. Food vendors have different requirements and must apply under the Enchanted Cafe application. Local health requirements must be met by all who sell food.

  • Our approach to genre blocks and how we help make an easier experience for our guests. Additionally, the immersive part of decorating each booth to feel like you truly are Found in a Fairytale no matter what booth you step inside of.

    Additionally, we are a united community. Not only for a fun shopping experience, but also a place to learn and grow as an author.

  • Simply reply to the email you receive from us with your application status. We are here to answer any questions you have that are not listed here.

  • It is our hope to work through applications in a timely manner. We will be making decisions within 3 weeks of receiving your application. You will be notified either way.
