Shonda got her start in design and printing at a young age, as a third generation printer. She learned from the best possible. Her grandfather taught her about the importance of layout design as a press operator, while her mother taught her about the intricacies of CMYK and digital printing in the early 90s. Throughout her career, Shonda has designed more projects than she can count, but has always loved editorial and book design.

Her stationery brand launched in 2017 and was a finalist for the most creative in-store display, as featured in Stationery Trends Magazine. Her experience as a brand designer and creative director for a small hybrid publisher taught her the importance of serving authors and capturing their voices through visual storytelling, as well as equipping the design team by teaching them new skills to improve their design work.

In 2024, she released her devotional and personal recounting, Authentically Anchored, and published her second book, Braver with Belief in 2025. In 2026, she finally began publishing Roadmap to Romance Series, the contemporary romance series she started in 2021.

Her business has evolved into a design boutique agency that serves entrepreneurs, authors, and ministry leaders. Past endeavors include leadership in youth & women’s retreats, vendor show coordinator, Relay for Life co-chair, and Assistant Lay Director of WOG Chrysalis #75.
