Michelle Bolanger is a Christian author of contemporary and speculative fiction. Her stories focus on shining the light of hope amidst themes that do not shy away from the darker parts of life in this fallen world. She began her publishing journey in 2015 with her urban fantasy debut novel, “The Kiss” the first book in a young adult series now titled “The Divided Hearts Series.” She also published the first two stand-alone contemporary novels in a collection of gritty, hot button stories that follow characters who come to faith in Christ after walking through some topics most Christian novelists won’t write about. She tackles topics like LGBTQ, human trafficking, abortion, and adultery.

After 30+ years of mid-level management in banking and finance, Michelle left corporate life in 2025 to pursue her creative passions. She has co-lead Biblical courses on personal finance and budgeting and served as the women’s ministry coordinator for her local church where she crafted Bible studies that taught women how to apply Biblical principles to their daily lives. As a talented vocalist, she currently serves as a member of her church’s worship team, leading the congregation into a deeper connection with God through song.

Michelle and her husband host a small group Bible study in their home once a week, and Michelle would like to expand her teaching and encouraging opportunities in the future by organizing an in person writer’s group for writers of all levels in her local area. She desires to demonstrate the hope of faith in Christ by sharing the lessons God is teaching her as she continues to publish new stories, grow her business, and encourage other writers and women in their giftings and callings.
